Oh dear god. This has got to be one of the longest day ever! I am SO tired and sleepy and I'm going out later too. I must be getting older for the thought of fighting through the crowds in town already tires me out. Must find quiet place for dinner but that's highly impossible.
Oh well. About 20 minutes before I can get off work. Must.Look.Busy.
Happy New Year, Everyone!
Ok. Now I'm pissed. Someone made off with my Belle and Sebastian (If you are feeling sinister)!
And where are my Superchunks?!!!?
Does anyone know a mp3 link to Elliott Smith's Say Yes? Someone borrowed my CD and I do love that song.
The BEST Christmas Gift ever!
Yay!! I am ECSTATIC! Been really busy trying to upload songs into the Ipod.
Even after a whole day of uploading, I still only have filled up only 3GB worth of stuff. It is only when I start carting out the CDs that I realised that there are so much stuff that I don't listen to anymore simply because I forgot I even had it.
I also realised that there are plenty of CDs missing: must have loaned them to someone and the bugger never returned it/them.
But I'm too happy right now to care.
Merry Christmas, everyone!!
I hate going downtown during the christmas period. Everyone seems to have lost their minds and gone beserk. Not only are they rude, they seem to especially revel in blocking the one possible exit/entrance there is so as to chat with some acquaintance they've just met and probably can't even remember their goddamn names, while the rest of the world is stuck like a bottleneck and it's HORRIBLE!
Oh. If looks could kill....

One of the better quizzes I like, for obvious reasons:(I didn't even doctor the answers! I swear!)
Verdict
Just got back from watching LOTR: Return of the King and it's oh.my.god it's Excellent! It is easily the best movie this year.
The theatre was cold like hell but noone cared. I was so cold though that I had to go tothe bathroom in the middle of a battlescene. I enjoyed every minute of it (yes, all 201 minutes) and will definitely watch it again soon (probably next week).
I can't wait for the DVD Boxset of the Trilogy, I will have to lock myself in my room for 2 days to finish watching them. Anyone has news when it's coming out?
and by the way, it's
2 days to Lord of the Rings: the Return of the KING!!
and I got me tickets!! Yay!! The theatres in town were all sold out (until end of the year, I heard) and the tickets for the marathon sessions for the trilogy were also gone before I could drag someone to spend 12 hours in a theatre with me. But I seriously can't wait for the show. It will be great!
which is more important?
having the knowledge to be a geek, or possessing the mentality to acquire the knowledge to be one? This must be one of the most random questions I've come up with. It seemed nicer when I thought of it last night just before I fall asleep but now it just looks kinda weird and random. hmmm.
I'm going to meet my prof today and smart and knowledgeable as he undoubtedly is, he is not a geek. He more or less fits your average absent-minded, more-or-less cheerful prof, definitely not a geek.
Take the What High School
Stereotype Are You? quiz.
Does anyone know how to use Microsoft Outlook to synchronise both Hotmail and Yahoo mail accounts? Is it even possible? I want to format my mail nicely and offline and then despatch them to their respective accounts. I don't actually have a current active account that uses Outlook (all my mail accounts are web-based) so there isn't any use forwarding the mails to Outlook at all.
I wanted to try and find out how on google, but I don't even really know how to articulate my search terms, so if anyone could help, that would be really great!
Thanks!

You're an Indie Pop Kid. You like songs about
relationships and the prettiness of nature.
You're sentimental, but not certainly not emo.
Oh, and if you aren't an English Major, you
should be.

One of the better quizzes for a while. It's actually fun to do!
where did the time go?
It's been a while since I last wrote anything, and seriously, I'm not sure if I don't have the time to write anything, or that nothing blog-worthy has actually happened.
Let's see what you missed:
1. I've got a freelance copyediting job--which isn't anything much, but I'm thinking that the extra can come in handy towards the "Buy Sharon an ipod Fund" (anyone interested in contributing?)
2. The wimps of
Limp Bizkit cancelled their concert in Singapore, citing fear of terrorist attacks. "eat me alive?" yeah, right!
3. ERMM... what else?
