"The Dingoes got my Baby!"
It was a hot and humid afternoon as I tried to upload some freshly downloaded songs onto my iPod. As I fiddle with the date settings on the iPod, I realised that my PC is not recognising the iPod as an external hard disk at all. And before I can react, the iPod goes blank and refuses to come back on despite many frantic attempts at reviving it.
In short, I totally freaked and was on phone support for almost an hour (I wince to think about my phone charges for the month) and finally the nice lady proclaimed that I've got to "bring it in." So my baby's very ill, and I've got to bring it to the professionals (apple care centre). Thankfully, the centre is really near where I stay and now I have to leave my iPod with them and get a new one on Thursday. Which is all fine and dandy but now the question emerges:
what the hell am I going to do until then!!
You jest. You think it's not a big deal, but I've never been without music on my commutes before. NOt ever. And this morning, I was put on the big test.
I have never heard such inane conversations, started up by people who just happened to meet on their daily commutes. I have never realised people talk such rubbish on their mobiles at this god-forsaken hour of the working day. In short, it is almost like stupidity amplified.
I need my baby back. SOON!
