It stands for everything that's been lost
Wednesday, December 29, 2004

It's a tragedy what has happened. The death toll is 81000, as of this morning and looks set to go beyond 100000 mark. Typing in so many zeros makes me ill. It's easy to type in a number and forget the number of lives that makes up that number. It's a terrifying thought.

I can't imagine how anyone will have the mood to celebrate New Year's Eve tomorrow. But all I see in between the news are advertisements for New Year Countdown parties and the such.

an unfortunately poignant post.
despite all this. remember life goes on. it may sound crass. life is the wonderful things as much as the horrible things.

Sharon: Hang in there, kid. I hope no friends or loved ones of yours have been affected by this event. Keeping you in my thoughts. It's hard to comprehend the numbers or the scale of the disaster, and when I give it a lot of thought, I get angry, and feel helpless. Which is why we need each other in times like this.

Despite the foregoing, Happy New Year, ok? :-)
